RADARSAT-2, dont le lancement est prévu pour 2005, sera le satellite radar à synthèse d'ouverture (SAR) le plus perfectionné au monde. RADARSAT-2 assurera la continuité des données aux utilisateurs de RADARSAT-1 pendant sa durée de vie prévue de sept ans.
